FAIRPORT, NY – April 16, 2009 – Manning & Napier Advisors, Inc. is pleased to announce the 2009 recipients of the Manning & Napier Scholarship Program.
Alexander Hoffarth of Fairport High School, Matthew Parry of Fairport High School, and Kenneth Babcock of Corfu High School are the 2009 Manning & Napier Scholars, receiving awards totaling $10,000. Hoffarth, the recipient of an $8,000 award, plans to attend the University of Rochester to study Political Science and History. Parry plans to attend St. John’s University to study Finance and Babcock plans to study Applied Economics and Management at Cornell University.

The Manning & Napier Scholarship Program, established in 2004, grants three awards annually to Manning & Napier Scholars: one award of $8,000 and two awards of $1,000. The recipient of the $8,000 scholarship award also receives a paid internship with Manning & Napier during the summer between their junior and senior year in college.
The Program is open to graduating high school seniors in the Greater Rochester area. Awards are renewable for up to three years or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first. Students must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) and full-time enrollment to continue receiving an award.
